The Conveners of The Forum are leaders in the fields of school reform, educational policy, and advocacy for equitable access to quality schools for all American families. As individuals they have founded educational reform movements, created or restructured schools in urban and rural settings, have advised state and federal legislators on educational policy, authored research reports on public education, published dozens of books on public education, prepared thousands of teachers and school leaders, and have national reputations in the field of public schooling. Together they have launched The Forum in order to further advance a system of strong public schools for a strong American democracy.
